University of Northern Colorado occurs as baccalaureate (liberal arts, sciences, humanities, business, human being sciences, & education), graduate (primarily in the field of education), & the food and drug administration university located in Greeley, Colorado. It has the 2003 enrollment of over 11,000 students.
History
A University of Northern Colorado opened in October 6, 1890, as a State Normal School to train proven teachers for the state's public schools. Greeley's citizens raised a necessary money for the 1st building. At that period, certificates were granted upon the completion of a both season course. Around 1911 the school's name was changed to Colorado State Teachers College & offered bachelor degrees when completion of the foursome season course. Inside 1935 the name changed once more to Colorado State College of Education to recognize a postgraduate program, which was began within 1913. Inside 1957 the name was shortened to Colorado State College to recognize a farther incubation of computer program & offerings. Eventually, within 1970 the name was changed to the todays University of Northern Colorado.
Music program
A University of Northern Colorado contains one of a virtually all prestigious music computer software in the area. Among their numerous fields it is quite easily known for their jazz studies & music education software online.
